Your privacy choices — Sakinah Athar

Summary

Every choice here is yours and can be changed at any time. The app has no tracking or ads to switch off.

1. Location

Location is used only on your device to compute prayer times and the qibla; it is never sent to our servers.

On iPhone and iPadSettings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → Sakinah Athar.

On AndroidSettings → Apps → Sakinah Athar → Permissions → Location.

2. Alerts and reminders

In the appMore → Alerts & reminders: turn each prayer alert and the morning/evening adhkar reminders on or off.

In your phone's settingsSettings → Notifications → Sakinah Athar.

3. Live dhikr counter

To stop sending your tap counts to the public counter: More → Privacy → "Count my dhikr in the live counter". The tasbih keeps working and nothing is sent.

4. Support data

See itAll your support conversations are in More → My messages.

Delete itAsk through the Sakinah assistant or by email and we delete it within 30 days. It is also deleted automatically 12 months after the last activity.

5. Advertising and partnership requests

To delete data from the "Advertise with us" or "Become a partner" form, email us and we delete it within 30 days; otherwise it is deleted automatically after 24 months.

6. Delete everything

Deleting the app from your device removes all its local data (settings, bookmarks and khatmah). For data on our servers, email us or see the "Delete data & account" page.
