Summary
The app works fully without an account. No ads, no advertising ID, no sale of data. Your location is used on your device only, to compute prayer times and the qibla.
What we collect and why
Without an account: no personal data. Settings, bookmarks and your khatmah stay on your device.
Location: read on your device (GPS) to compute prayer times and the qibla, stored on your device only and never sent to our servers.
Notifications: prayer and adhkar alerts are scheduled locally on your device and carry no private content.
If you create an account (optional, when available): your email (encrypted), your two-step verification secret (encrypted), and the data you choose to sync — khatmah plans, bookmarks, settings and reading history — used to sync across your devices and secure your account. Security events (sign-ins, security changes) are logged to protect it.
Retention and deletion
Server logs are deleted within 30 days and backups within 35 days at most. Deleting your account revokes all sessions immediately and permanently deletes the account after 14 days; the deletion is re-applied automatically if a backup is ever restored.
Who processes data
Servers are hosted on Mahsumah Cloud in Saudi Arabia. Sign-in codes are sent through Mahsumah's email provider. We never share your data for marketing.
Children
The app is suitable for all ages and asks for no personal data without an account. We do not knowingly create accounts for children under 13.
